Committed to the Environment

Just Plumbing is not only committed to serving the people of Arizona, but we are also committed to doing our part to protect the environment. We go FAR beyond your typical recycling programs. In addition to recycling our cardboard, water heaters and anything else that is recyclable, all of our vehicles are powered by 100% clean burning vegetable oil.

All of Our Vehicles Are Powered by Vegetable Oil

Just Plumbing is not only Arizona's most reliable plumbing service, we are also committed to saving the environment. Now a days it seems like everyone is claiming to be "green". However many companys make this claim solely based on "green" products they sell (solar water heaters, water saving toilets...). We also sell these same products, but we make our claim based on what we DO! Even if we don't sell as many solar water heaters or water saving toilets, we do much more to reduce waste, pollution and CO2 emissions. We've been running our vehicles on vegetable oil for years now. I guess you could say that we were green BEFORE green was cool. It's just another way that Just Plumbing tries to better serve the people of Arizona and do our part to make the world a better place.

So, how does it work?

Diesel trucks are dirty, and anyone who's ever cleaned a frier can tell you, so is vegetable oil. But together they are clean. Old vegetable oil from restaurants is normally disposed of in land fills or used as animal feed. But veg oil is cleaner burning than gas or diesel. So we take this used cooking oil and filter it to remove the impurities and fuel our trucks with it. It's really a simple process that keeps oil from being wasted and reduces emissions as well. Of course your car does need to be a diesel and requires a few modifications, but it's actually a very easy conversion process.

We prefer fuel from canola fields.                            Not oil fields!
